Bugfix DDevExtensions 2.2.1

By | January 25, 2011

In the Version 2.2 that I released yesterday was a bug in the “Use Unit” dialog that caused the deletion of chars from the source code if you inserted a unit into the interface uses-list (shift-key).

So here is version 2.2.1.

Am I able to use DDevExtensions221Setup7_2007 in Delphi 6?

    Hi Andy

There appears to be a small bug in the 2.2.1 devtools. When I use the version # update, all projects appear to be changed (they want to save), but the version number isnt changed when viewing the project details. Installing an older version of the DDevExtensions fixes this.

Thank you for this great extensio of RAD Studio, and the effor taken to backoprt the 2.2 to D2007.

    Regards

    Hans

      Hi Hans,

      Same problem here.
      Andy, can you fix it?

      Regards,

The option ‘Set Versioninfo’ of version 2.2.1 doesn’t work in Delphi 2007 but is just fine in Delphi 2010.

      Hello,

Reproduce this plobrem on Version 2.2 and 2.2.1, but 2.0 snapshot 20090920-1426 works correctly.

    Hi Andy,

If you disable the “Editor tab double click action” in delphi 2007. When ever you reopen the IDE the editor will be set to the “zoom mode”

Now that Started Edition is available I’m considering upgrading from D7 but one huge annoyance with new IDE is that new events are added in alphabetical order instead of at the end of file.

Would it be possible to create a setting that would allow new events to go at end of the file ?

Thanks for the amazing work You have done for the Delphi community !

I already tried to undo this stupid behavior for years but I haven’t found a way to achieve it, yet.

I won’t buy a Starter Edition because I already own a higher SKU. So I can’t test my IDE plugins and won’t (officially) support the Starter Edition.

        I agree, it’s a stupid behavior.

I find it very strange that You have to buy Delphi after all work You have done to make Delphi better, it should be free for You.

        Shame on You Embarcadero !

One solution could be to buy the Starter Edition and give it to Andy, or better yet Embarcadero could start offering free download of Starter Edition to existing customers with a higher SKU, for situations such as this.

I don’t want a Starter Edition. And as far as I see all my “Professional compiled” plugins should work as long as the Starter Edition uses the same RTL/VCL and IDE.
