For all developers that got stuck at Delphi 2007 and who want to upgrade to Windows 10 can now use the special “Windows 10 Edition” of IDE Fix Pack 4.4 for Delphi 2007. The “Windows 10 Edition” also supports Windows 8.1.
Requirement: Delphi 2007 December Update.

What if the fix pack “has stopped working” when you click ‘install’?
It was working a treat but just done a another large win 10 update and now hangs when compiling.
I did have Delphi 2007 and IDEfix4.4 installed and working well on 81
After the update from 81 to 10 I had to copy files from windows.old :
c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Borland.Common.Targets
c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Borland.Cpp.Targets
c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Borland.Delphi.Targets
c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Borland.Group.Targets
It was working but I Installed the new IDEfixpack and it still worked OK.
Windows (10.1!) update
Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3081444)
then Delphi hangs on the compile with no error message.
Now have to copy above files to:
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319
Working today – who know what tommorow will bring.
This all has nothing to do with IDE Fix Pack. Delphi 2007 installs the MSBUILD *.targets files into the C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET folder. And when you upgrade to Windows 10 you get a complete new C:\Windows folder that doesn’t contain files that should have never been stored there. With Delphi 2009 Embarcadero fixed this and installs the *.targets files into the $(BDS)\bin folder.
Thanks for the explaination Andreas and many thanks for all the work you’ve done keeping the up todatethe idefixes.
