CompilerPlugin 1.0 released (2007 and 2009)

By | November 1, 2008

I’ve just released the final version of the CompilerPlugin 1.0. The Delphi IDE plugin makes it possible to compile Delphi 2007 projects with the newer Delphi 2009 compiler within the Delphi 2007 IDE. This way you can work on your day to day projects and at the same time migrate them to the Unicode world. Because the compiler doesn’t change any file, especially not the DFM files, your formulars, frames and data modules stay in the Delphi 2007 “format”.

The IDE Expert also comes as a Delphi 2009 plugin that uses the Delphi 2007 compiler. While the D2007 host version targets the migration of projects to Unicode, the D2009 host version is for component and framework developers who want to compile their source code against other Delphi versions without starting all the older Delphi versions.
